Below is an overview of the costs associated with music therapy sessions, as well as additional services including travel and report writing. These rates are in line with the NDIS pricing guidelines to ensure accessibility and fairness. 

Kindly note all sessions are charged with an additional non-contact rate of 15 minutes ($48.49). This is to allow for on a session by session basis clinical resource preparation time, liaison with your child's multi-disciplinary team and program evaluation.

Group sessions are available for families or small groups, designed to encourage shared experiences and collective growth. A minimum of 3 participants is required for group sessions.

Travel fees listed above are calculated using the Monash Model for NDIS participants, ensuring fairness and transparency.
Under the NDIS guidelines, providers can claim travel costs when delivering supports to participants, especially in community or in-home settings. The Monash Model is a commonly accepted method to fairly calculate these costs based on time and distance.

A detailed report summarising progress, goals, and recommendations for ongoing therapy. This report is required when a client's NDIS plan is due for annual review. This report is beneficial for parents, caregivers, or multidisciplinary teams involved in the individual’s care.

As part of my Advanced Guided Imagery and Music (GIM) training, I am offering free GIM sessions for a limited number of clients to complete my coursework. Please contact me for more information on this opportunity.

For eligible clients, I am also able to provide music therapy services through the Robert Connor Dawes Foundation, which offers funding for children and young people undergoing cancer treatment or with a cancer diagnosis. Yes. I completed my Master of Music Therapy degree at the University of Melbourne. I am registered with the Australian Music Therapy Association (AMTA), and hold a current Working with Children Check and insurance.

+ are you a registered music therapist?

I offer music therapy services that are tailored to the unique needs of children and families. My services are provided in the comfort of your home, in preschool settings, or at school, making it easier for your child to access therapy in the most supportive environment.
Online sessions are available via Zoom for families who live in remote and regional areas.


+ Where do sessions take place?


Whilst some health professionals may make a referral to Hummingbird Music Therapy, it is not necessary. You can get in touch directly to book a music therapy session.

Private funding is also welcome. Flexible payment options are available for families not covered under NDIS. Please get in touch to discuss session fees.

+ What if I don’t have NDIS funding?

Yes. Hummingbird Music Therapy can support participants who are self-managed or plan-managed under the NDIS. Music therapy may be funded under Capacity Building – Improved Daily Living or other relevant categories.

I offer Music Therapy for newborn babies and infants,
 early childhood, school-aged children and adolescents. My services are tailored for:
Newborn babies and infants needing support post discharge from Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU)
Infants and toddlers needing developmental and/or emotional support
Neurodivergent children needing support with anxiety, emotional regulation, connection
Infants, children and adolescents receiving cancer or palliative care
Children and adolescents with developmental, emotional, or physical challenges
